OKC 1st WARD, HERE I COME?!

I know, what the heck? I'm getting transferred! I definitely was not expecting it. But I'm excited!

Our Last Family Home Evening with the Riverside Kids
This has been a dang freaking rough transfer. Heavenly Father has taught me a lot about a lot of things, especially the Atonement. I honestly... I don't know where I would be without the knowledge I have of Jesus Christ. I'm coming to know Him on a much more personal level, and it's been an incredible experience, truly.

A lot of people think that the "rules" we have, or the commandments from God, are restrictive and ridiculous. But I know that the very reason we are here is to become as happy as God is. I know that this plan is for us, this world, the Atonement, EVERYTHING, is here for us. Just because He loves us that much! I also know that only by following the commandments can we progress and find true joy in this life.
Antonio's Baptism

I wish I could fully express to you the joy that I feel in this gospel. It's hard to describe - I just want you all to feel it too. And I know you're expecting this from me because I'm a missionary, but this is from me, Alyssa, too. But the greatest commandment is to love God, and second to that is to love everyone else. And I know that the greatest love we can show is by sharing the truthfulness of the restored gospel with everyone. Help them remember who they are, because that is the only way, the ONLY way they can return to live with God.

Okay, off my soap box. :)

We had an incredible lesson with Ardecia this week - she poured her heart out to us, and we were able to help her better understand the plan of salvation - specifically the three kingdoms.

And Alyssa, Davien, and Scott got baptized this week! It was awesome and the Spirit was stronger than I've ever felt at a baptism. We also had our last FHE with the Riverside kids this week. I'm definitely going to miss them.

We have a tiny branch Christmas choir that Sister Lang is working so hard to make awesome. So far it's mostly kids and two basses. :) It will be sweet, I'm sad I have to miss it.
OH I'm just going to miss the Langs so much! They need to get lots and lots of blessings for all their service. Seriously. And the Batemans. And the Brewers. Good heavens, I'm going to miss Elgin much more than I thought I would.

I just made friends with the primary kids too! There are these cute little kids that just come up to me and tell me all sorts of wild stories, and one little angel who is my new best friend. Ready? So Sister Durfee came over with little Megan, who's probably 9, and said, "She has a question for you!" So Megan bashfully asked me, "How many Doctor Who episodes have you seen?" And OH I JUST WEPT. She told me her favorite Doctor was the "Barty Crouch Jr." one and I just laughed. She hugs me every time she sees me now.

Anadarko Branch Christmas Party - I'm Playing the Piano
Here's a little miracle - we were driving home after the baptism on Thursday, and before we got going too far, Sister Stewart (who's the driver) said, "Wait! Someone say a prayer so we get home safely." So I said a prayer that we would be safe, that the other drivers would, and if there were any animals on the road that we wouldn't hit them. AND THEN There were seriously 5 deer in the middle of the road and there was a perfect little gap between them that we slipped right through. Oh my word, it was so scary, but Heavenly Father was definitely looking out for us.

I've got to run! So much to do... transfers are hectic. But I love you all so much. Don't forget Elder Ballard's challenge to share the gospel before Christmas. It's a challenge from me too!

Love, Sister Clark
