Hey, you weirdos!

Hey, guys! Happy St. Patrick's day, alright? Alright. I'm back, hello. :)
I've missed you.
But it's nice to be here again.

SO LATELY:
I'm still working at Coldstone, but now with my lil' sis
I'm no longer in school (the U wasn't for me)
aannnnddd . . .
I'm planning on going on a mission!

Exciting, right? I'll definitely keep you updated. I still have to save up and everything, so I'm thinking maybe the end of the summer? I've got a harp to pay off for heaven's sakes!

Also I'm working on going back to my natural color. It's a little darker right now, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. And no, it's not purple. That's just my dumb phone. My hair actually looks like this:

But, I guess in all reality, I don't have a mustache so that's not accurate either.
I wish I did. I look so hot with a mustache.

Tis only a scratch.

So basically crazy things happen to me all the time.

I totally biffed it on the scooter on Monday. (Monday. Had to be it.) It was super awesome, and I wish someone could have recorded it. It got caught in a groove in the sidewalk, and I definitely did like a somersault-flip-type-thing that was beautiful and elegant, and landed on my butt with a loud "FRICK" to accompany it.

Classy, I know.

So of course there were a million people there to see me, so I'm basically famous at this school now. Everyone knows my name. It's true.Three guys walked passed and were like, "Hey, are you okay?" I'm fine, really, I'm fine. No autographs, please. And then, AND THEN. I was still in the process of making sure I had no broken bones and picking up my gracefully thrown body parts scattered across the sidewalk, and several agonizing seconds later, someone who had obviously seen from a long ways away, said, "Hey, are you okay? I'm an MT, are you sure?" You're a mountain? What? I'm fine. I'm just fine.

The moral? It's not easy to be famous.

I fought a bear, see.

First day of school! In this crazy, twenty-hour day, I:
met a weird girl on Trax
barely made it into German (with my past 'experience' I almost got kicked out . . . but I didn't so it's fine!)
(Ich heisse Alyssa. Wie heist du?)
played the piano in institute (I knew I would end up doing it anyway, so I just volunteered right off)
was ten minutes late to music theory (embarrassing)
made new friends
totally nailed my orchestra audition (Utah Philharmonia! Heck yeah!)
got my first blister from the harp
had a crazy weird work day
and got free panda express.

I only got a little bit lost, and I'm learning to use the shuttles so I won't  be late anymore. Also, this morning I woke up with a beautiful thing so named allergies that makes me look like I got punched in the face. That's cute, right? So today I'm going to my new classes like, "Hey, nice to meet you, I HAVE A FAT EYE!" So, I guess that's going to help me make my new goal to be remembered this year quite simpler. So here's to day two, guys.

I think it gives me character.

Seven questions!

Here we go.

I know, I know. I'm cute.

1. What is your favorite App? (even if you don't have a smart phone I'm sure you've played around with someone else's)
App? What's that? Just kidding, definitely the lightsaber. Lame? I think not. I am your father.

2. You have to come up with a book title on the spot- what is it? (don't think- just say!)
Sunday Afternoons with Reginald. (Who knows where that one came from)

3. You are given the choice between laughing at everything- always, or never being able to laugh again. Which would you choose?
OH MAN. I already laugh almost all the time, but holy crow, all the time? I would get sick of myself. Also I would go crazy if people couldn't take me seriously. So I guess I would never laugh again.

4. What natural disaster scares you the most? (tornado, hurricane, earthquake, flood, etc)
Volcano. You know that big ole' one under Yellow Stone? Oh man, kill me now.

5. What time do you wake up each day? What time do you go to sleep?
I wake up at 6:18-6:23 on school days, and get up at 6:34. (Oddly specific, right? My body clock is weird.) And I go to sleep . . . after eleven. I never really know.

6. Who's your daddy, and what does he do?
My daddy's a nerd. (Oh, so that's where she gets it.) He acts all serious, but he's really a goofball. He knows so many facts about so many things. He's a personal injury attorney. Also, his name is Carlos, and he speaks Spanish fluently, but he's totally white.

7. What's the craziest dream you've ever had? (like an actual dream- while you were sleeping)
I could seriously go on and on and ON for this question. I remember a lot of my dreams, and I have lots of weird ones. But I'll tell you one that I had when I was probably seven or eight (I remember those, too). I was in the desert, on red cliffs and there was a restaurant there, in the middle of no where. I went inside, and Frankenstein and Dracula were there, you know, just having drinks and hanging out. I waltz my way inside (through the swinging, saloon-like doors), and they start making fun of me, for no good reason! I told them to stop, but they wouldn't. So I bit off a couple of Frankenstein's fingers. Then Frank started crying, and Dracula gave me a dirty look like, "you're a terrible human being," and so I said, "well, you should have stopped teasing me." Then I went outside, where my grandpa was in an air balloon. I tried to chase after him to tag along, but he was too far away and couldn't hear me.
the end.

Life Without an iPhone

Sometimes I get jealous that I don't have an iPhone, and I can't use instagram to take pictures of little things that make me smile. (And I wonder how I'm ever going to survive)

But then I have days like today, where I take my little brother to get a hair cut and have the best chess game with him (I would have won, too, if it wasn't his turn for the chair), and I realize that somedays just don't need pictures. Somedays, we can just remember it and enjoy that it happened.

I'm grateful for my brother, who likes to tell me things I don't know about the world (those cylinder things on power lines? They're called "transformers.") and who sometimes tells me I look really cute, even though he's ten and feels sheepish about it.

The end.

p.s. what a good lookin' kid! he's gonna get all the ladies.

7 Questions!

So I'm doing seven questions with Gentri today!
Here is my BEAUTIFUL picture:
Me and the fabulous Eden on an adventure to the library

1. What is your favorite color TO WEAR?
Definitely BLUE. It's my favorite color and I basically wear it every day.

2. You are given the choice between visiting every country and landing on the moon. Which would you choose?
I would LOVE to visit every country. I would be way too chicken to go into space. I mean . . . it's space.

3. What's your favorite animal and why?
I love bald eagles. I've never met one, but I think birds in general are beautiful (also I envy them) and bald eagles are particularly amazing. Also they fall in love with each other and stay together forever! They're Mormons! :D

4. You are forced to do one of the following, which would you choose? Sky dive, scuba dive, or this:
Oh my heck. I think I would be too scared to do this.
But it's definitely the coolest. So I choose . . . THIS.

5. You are given the chance to go back in time. Which era do you choose?
Fifties. HANDS DOWN. Style, music, people, everything. Just fabulous.

6. If you had the power to remove one thing (ie: flies, mosquitos, junk food) from the earth for good - what would it be?
Probably . . . murder. Yep.

7. What is one thing you learned from Pinterest that made you think "GENIUS!"
Oh mah heck. This. It's just brilliant. (Cookie bowls for ice cream)

The end. :)

We're not fanatics, or anything.

The very spiritual conversation Spencer and I had in Sunday School:

Me: ". . . Well. You are what you eat."
Spencer: "So . . . Voldemort is unicorn blood?!"

Also (considering Dark Mark tattoos):
Me: "I wouldn't get a permanent one, because it doesn't move so it would be lame."
Spencer: "Are you kidding? I'm going all the way. No backing down.
Me: "So, what you're saying is that you're a TRAITOR TO RAVENCLAW?! Not just Ravenclaw, but to Hogwarts, too?"
Spencer: "I'm a death eater! I didn't go to Hogwarts, I went to Voldywarts!"
Me: "I still think you're a traitor."
Spencer:
 "Um . . . -awkward pause-
AVADA KEDAVRA!"

What happens in the car . . .

Dear Reader.
What's that you say?
You say we look dang hot?
Why yes.
Yes we do.

Also, in the car . . .
Chelsea: I hate boys. Boys are stupid.
Spencer: Boys ARE stupid. That's why I only date girls.
